Leaving Portland

In a couple of hours, I will be flying out of PDX for 14 weeks in Vietnam and Greece, then another yet to be determined location for a year or two. If you asked me what in the hell I am doing, the technical answer would be teaching a TOEFL preparation class (in Vietnam), getting my TEFL certification (in Greece), then eventually teaching English (somewhere else). However the truthful answer is that I have no idea what the fuck I am doing.

More importantly, rumor has it that Greenman plans on following me wherever I go. Like always, he is most likely going to be a culturally insensitive douchebag who has grand plans of making an ass out of himself in the middle of busy Saigon intersections, atop sacred pagodas, and riding water buffalos in rice patties.

I am not sure what my internet access will be like throughout this whole deal, so I figured I would make a blog to keep in touch with the few back home who care. If something I write seems a little off, take into account that at certain times I will be under government censorship. If something seems politically incorrect or generally offensive, take into account your lack of a sense of humor.

It will take until July 2nd to actually reach Vietnam so keep it real until then,
